HySUT executes demonstration porgrams to establish a Hydrogen-Based Social System.
The project demonstrates the following three themes at regional level:
1) "Hydrogen production with lower CO2 emission", 2) "Efficient hydrogen transportation and storage", and 3) "Efficient hydrogen usage", and verifies their viability as future business models.
HySUT operates the two following demonstration projects.
1) "Hydrogen Highway Project" is a regular long distance service of fuel cell vehicles and buses on an expressway connecting downtown Tokyo and Haneda / Narita airport.
2) "Hydrogen Town Project" is to supply hydrogen to households in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka through hydrogen pipelines.
